Allied International Debt Collection Agents is a debt purchasing firm which has purchased a delinquent account from the original creditor (or in some cases another debt purchasing company) for a fraction of the original value and is brazenly attempting to get the full value of the original loan from you.

Allied International Debt Collection Agents will use all sorts of nasty methods to get you to set up a direct debit or standing order in order to make money from you. You may have already experienced bad dealings with them on the phone or by letter. They may phone you when they know it is inconvenient for you and on an unacceptably numerous number of occasions. They may send you official appearing sternly drafted letters or cards threatening that they will come round to collect the money in full or that they will take you to court for the full amount. Other tactics may involve attempting an order for sale charge on your home or in some way bring about your homelessness or destitution.

So ask Allied International Debt Collection Agents for a copy of the original contract when you took out your loan or credit card.

More Data On Allied International Debt Collection Agents

My thanks to the excellent MoneySavingExpert forums for these extracts:

I'm posting this in the hope to try and find out how to help a friend of mine. She received this yellow card on thursday (7th june) which had been dated 1oth april from Allied International Debt Collection Agents. She rang them straight away and they said she owed a little over £1000 from a focus store card and she had till monday (11th june) to pay it all. The man was extremely rude and obnoxious. He asked her how many cars she had as he was going to arrange for them to be taken. She explained she had 9 children and he said as far as he was concerned this debt came before putting food in her childrens mouths!!! they don't have her phone number as she changed it but he continously harrassed her for it to the point he had her in tears. Surely this is totally unacceptable??? She has managed to get about £500 together but is terrified of them shouting at her again and refusing it, they have threatened her with sending 'big men' round to visit her.

OUR COMMENT: This is typical of the type of behaviour we have seen of Allied International Debt Collection Agents. They are as obnoxious as this and they do threaten to this extent and scare people in this way. The thing to remember is that most of what they say is untrue: they just do not have these powers.

Threatening to send round 'big men' is clearly an offence and Allied International Debt Collection Agents are quite clearly breaking the law in threatening people like this. Remember, they would not say these things in a letter (can you image them writing that!), so never speak to them on the phone. Always insist that they write to you. They can't lie to you in writing.

If you have any information that you would like honest people to know about Allied International Debt Collection Agents then send us an email in complete confidence and we will try to corroborate it with the clowns involved.
