Allied International Collectors is a firm which has purchased a delinquent account from the original lender (or in some cases another debt collecting agency) for a tiny percentage of the original value and is brazenly attempting to recover the full value from you.

Allied International Collectors will use all sorts of nasty methods to get money out of you in order to profit from your ignorance of the law. You may already have experienced bad dealings with them on the phone. They may call you on the phone at strange times when they know it is inconvenient for you and on an unacceptably numerous number of occasions. They may be sending you official-appearing nastily worded letters or cards threatening to send people round and collect the money in full or that they will take you to court for the full amount. Other tricks may include attempting to make a charging order on your home or in some way bring about your destitution.

So ask Allied International Collectors for a copy of the original contract when you took out your loan or credit card.

More Data On Allied International Collectors

My thanks to the excellent MoneySavingExpert forums for these extracts:

I get phone calls like yours from Allied International Collectors at least once a month - they are trying to scare you into paying more than you can afford - They shout at me down the phone, which is usually when I tell them to bog off and drop the phone on them. I am paying the company that the debt was originally with (Natwest visa) firstly that will mess up the paperwork and as you are actually paying something, I doubt very much that you would ever see the inside of a courtroom.

I said I was paying the company direct. He then gets all nasty and says "You don't have an agreement with Natwest". (Had I thought about it before launching my next defence I would have said - well why the hell are you chasing me then - but didn't think of it until afterwards.) I then said "Well I definatley don't have any agreement with you!"

Allied International Collectors are the rudest obnoxious company Ihave ever had to deal with

I have asked them for the deed of assignment - they claim no such thing exists and I don't know what I'm on about.

I think they get off on trying to scare you.

OUR COMMENT: Yes indeed, Allied International Collectors are trying to scare everyone. "If in doubt, scare someone" seems to be their motto. It's certainly the way they do business. It doesn't seem to matter to them that they don't know the law. They have the telesales person's stock responses to anything which is designed to 'stop' your argument, even though your argument is based on law and theirs is based on ignorance.

Once again, DO NOT USE THE TELEPHONE TO COMMUNICATE WITH ALLIED INTERNATIONAL COLLECTORS.

If you have any information that you would like honest people to know about Allied International Collectors then send us an email in complete confidence and we will try to corroborate it with the clowns involved.
